The JALT Global Englishes SIG Journal provides a platform for practitioners and researchers to share insights into the teaching and study of Global Englishes, including (but not limited to) World Englishes, ELF, intercultural communication, language ideologies, and language policy and planning.
We accept contributions in English or Japanese, including:
- Research Articles (up to 8,000 words): Empirical or theoretical contributions
- Research Briefs (1,500–3,000 words): Concise reports of ongoing or completed projects
- Pedagogical Innovations: Practical teaching ideas, lesson plans, or methods
- Teaching Reflections: Practitioner narratives highlighting challenges and successes
- Student Perspectives: Contributions written by students relating to Global Englishes
- Conceptual Discussions: Analyses of key concepts and theories related to Global Englishes
- Research Approaches: Reflections on methodologies or frameworks for Global Englishes research
- Book Reviews, Interviews, Commentaries, and Conference Reports
All submissions undergo a double-blind peer-review process.
